Cristina Gutiérrez argues that emotional education is the best way to prevent psychological problems and offers resources for this purpose.

Cristina Gutiérrez (Germany, 1967) is a researcher in the field of applied emotional competencies and creator of the La Granja Method (a competency accelerator scientifically evaluated by researchers at the University of Barcelona), and is convinced that the high consumption of psychotropic drugs and the increase in mental health problems with the pandemic has a lot to do with the lack of skills and resources to manage emotions that the Spanish population presents.

“Emotional education is the greatest tool for preventing mental health problems; if we were all emotionally educated we could all better regulate the emotions that crises like this pandemic have made us feel,” he says.
