what is the method?

La Granja, Ability Training Center“, is the first School Farm with a registered Emotional Education Method with scientifically proven results*.

método la granja© a true accelerator of competences:

The objective of the Method is to train the emotional competences of students, and the most powerful way to achieve this is through Outdoor training activities due to their high impact and the ease with which they excite children, young people and even adults. Behind each activity there is a specific intention, which helps us achieve the proposed objective. In order to motivate, we seek to promote the feeling of joy, the most motivating of all emotions, by using continuous challenges and positive stimuli. To enhance the Method and achieve results in less time, we use high performance thanks to the design of the program and concentrating on “here and now”, as Emotional Educators do. The art of asking questions makes students become aware of that which is unconscious, and feedback helps them to anchor what they have learned. Use of Metaphores allows us to work from the unconscious to give meaning to what happens during the activity, and transfer this knowledge to your daily life, the classroom and life at home. Finally, nature and animals help reassure children and young people, getting them to disconnect for a while from the accelerated pace of the world today.

The Method is being tested with over 18,000 students every year since 2008 and is based on the theoretical framework of the five emotional competences described by Rafael Bisquerra (Bisquerra and Pérez 2007) from the University of Barcelona: emotional awareness, emotional regulation, emotional autonomy, social skills and skills for life and wellbeing. The results of the La Granja Method have been scientifically evaluated and demonstrated.

SCIENTIFIC STUDY OF OUR TRAINING PLAN

La Granja has evaluated the results of the Training program For Talent Development in its own team with GROP of the University of Barcelona. Using the same methodology it applies when training members of businesses and organizations. The results of the Estudio cuantitativo y cualitativo (in Catalan) are truly excellent and statistically significant (,80 d Cohen).

OPINIÓN: Rafael Bisquerra, Director of the Postgraduate Course in Emotional Education and Wellbeing and of the Postgraduate course in Emotional Intelligence in businesses and organizations of the University of Barcelona.

“On occasion of an outdoor training that we do annually in the two Postgraduate courses, I have spent two days at La Granja in Santa María de Palautordera. The experience has been magnificent in every way and has been highly valued (10) by the students. The activities have been very well planned and executed by Andrés Martín and the La Granja team, which is led with great skill by the management, great professionals and excellent people, all enthusiasts of emotional education. The treatment received is unbeatable, delicious food, spectacular scenery, excellent facilities. For all these reasons, it is not surprising that La Granja has now become a benckmark for practical training in emotional skills, from formal education (primary and secondary school students) to adult training (families, companies, etc.). ”

Impact of La Granja Method on emotional camps was carried out by GROP, a research group in Pedagogical Orientation at the University of Barcelona (November 2017), on a sample of 132 children and teenagers. The quantitative and qualitative study shows significant changes before and after in the 5 dimensions of emotional competences (awareness, regulation, autonomy, social, life and well-being competence). Likewise, the study evaluates the anxiety of the students, demonstrating a significant decrease in the values of state anxiety and trait anxiety.
